Water evaporating refrigerator machines: When an object is gassed from the liquid state, an important heat recovery occurs. The evaporation heat leads to the use of a liquid as large as possible. Although water has these characteristics, there is a need for machines that occupy a large space for use due to the large volume occupied by the vapors generated after evaporation.
Refrigerating machines with condensable gases: It is used from gases which are easy to pass from gaseous to liquid form. The condensation of the obtained vapor is obtained by two different methods.
- Chemical processing (suction)
- Physical processing (compression)
The suction-driven refrigerating devices produce cold with a high temperature-tolerant substance such as ammonia.
Compressive refrigeration machines: The working principle of this type of machine is similar to the working principle of air machines. However, where the expansion of a compressed gas is to be exploited, the cold is produced by evaporation of a compressed gas after condensation.
A gas pump, the so-called compressor, absorbs and depresses the evaporating liquid from the evaporator or cooler. The gas condenses into the condenser and concentrates under the influence of pressure and cooling. The liquid thus obtained is returned to the refrigerant to evaporate through a regulating valve. This evaporation collects a large amount of heat from the objects in contact with the evaporator.
